Capel is one of our favourite Liberty prints. ALICE CAROLINE inverted the colour balance here, Capel usually has light flowers on a darker background for this collection they swapped them round to feature a lighter background and darker blooms. This colourway is a new sunny yellow.
Please note: This Capel has been printed at 90º (sideways). The print direction runs across the width of the fabric rather than down the length, as is usual. Please see the last image for the print orientation.
The Alice Caroline 2020 Exclusive ‘Butterfly Garden Collection’ features a beautiful selection of Liberty prints re-worked in delicate colourways. Comprising 15 stunning Liberty Tana Lawn prints, the colour theme inspiration comes from a box of ribbons gifted to Alice long ago by a great, great aunt. The collection is reminiscent of a flower garden in full summer bloom as well as evoking the imagined explorations of attic treasures in 1920’s Paris.
