CATHEDRAL WINDOW Ornament Workshop - Sunday, December 21, 2025 from 2 pm to 5 pm
With this class, you will learn how to make ornaments based on the Cathedral Window pattern with a few quick tips to save on fabric from the traditional method.
Exceptionally for this occasion, Coffee, hot chocolate, and French pastries will be served!!! ☕

This is for BEGINNERS and up. Involves simple use of a sewing machine and minimal hand sewing for finishing touch.✎ What you will learn :
By the end of this workshop, participants will have completed at their own pace, from one to four ornaments based on the beloved Cathedral Window pattern. Workshop includes a new, economic take on the pattern, devised to save 50 square inches of fabric per ornament compared to the traditional method. Perfect for those scraps you’ve been saving!Whether they find their way in the Christmas tree or stockings, their timeless charm will bring good cheer to your home.

This sewing class is a one 3-hour session. By the end of this workshop, participants will have completed at their own pace, from one to four ornaments. And the knowledge to make more!

Pattern will be provided.
❤ FABRIC :
The course fees do not include any supply but kits will be available for purchase. This class is perfect for use of your scraps!
Supplies needed for 4 ornaments:
3-4 coordinated fabrics. For optimal results, we recommend treating fabric before cutting. We love Flatter Ironing & Smoothing Spray and Acorn Easy Press Fabric treatment, both proudly Canadian.
• Fabric #1: Main Windows: four (4) 5”x5” squares
• Fabric #2: Borders: eight (8) 5”x5” squares
• Fabric #3: Secondary Windows: four (4) 5”x5” squares
• Fabric #4: Backing (can be same as Borders fabric): four (4) 5”x5” squares
Thread that matches fabric #2. Optional: embroidery thread for button;
Temporary basting glue: Roxanne Glue Baste-it (recommended) OR pins;
Polyester stuffing such as Polyfil: approximately 50 g;
4 assorted, decorative 1/2" buttons. Optional: 4 extra, smaller buttons for superposition;
24 inches of 1/8"-1/4" wide assorted ribbon, for hanging;
Hand sewing needle for finishing touches, embroidery needle if desired;
Clover Point Turner 2 or equivalent;
Rotating blade, scissors, quilting ruler (10”x10” works well for this project) and cutting mat. If you own a travel iron and pressing mat, we recommend bringing them along.
NOTIONS : Basic sewing equipment will be available on-site: mat, rotary cutter, scissors, rulers, measuring tape, seam ripper, chalk.
SEWING MACHINE : you can bring your own machine (and get a $10 discount on the class fee) or use one of our on-site JUKI machines.
IMPORTANT: If you want more material for your future projects, you’ll receive a 10% discount on the day of the workshop

Class fees are non-refundable. Any cancellations or changes to your registration must be done at least 48 hours prior to the class start date in order to be issued a store credit. Cancellations that are made less than 48 hours before the class start date and students who do not show up to class will forfeit their class fee.Reservation required. Seats are limited.
We reserve the right to cancel the course if minimum numbers of students are not reached. Full refund of course fees ONLY if we, for any reason, cancel a workshop / course.
