Founded in 1988 by one Canadian family, WonderFil Specialty Threads™ started with humble beginnings, offering only one single rayon embroidery thread line. Through their decades of hard work and passion, WonderFil® is now an international company participating in over one hundred events annually. They currently offer 36 unique thread lines all the way from 100wt to 3wt in cotton, polyester, rayon, metallic, and wool varieties. WonderFil® proudly takes the lead in designing innovative specialty threads and setting new standards in the quilting industry by advancing thread technology.


Manufacturing quality :

• Premium fibers, advanced dyeing, and precise manufacturing deliver exceptional stitch quality and durability.
• Lint reduction: Their cottons are double-gassed to reduce lint and improve machine longevity, with colorfast dyes that keep colors vibrant through washing and wear.
• A very wide weight range, from 100wt (ultra-fine) to 3wt (very heavy).


Versatility :

• Compatible with nearly all sewing machines : domestic, longarm, and serger models — generally with no special adjustments needed.
• Hand stitching projects : Their Eleganza™ line is perfect for a wide variety of hand work, from Wool appliqué to hand embroidery, sashiko, big stitch hand quilting, couching, bobbin work and so much more crafts.
• Their threads are organized by use: natural, low-lint fibers for quilting/piecing/handwork; strong, versatile threads for sewing, quilting, and serging; soft, glossy threads for machine embroidery; shimmering threads for decorative effects; and textured threads that add loft and character.
• Over 36 unique thread lines, each engineered for a specific technique, spanning cotton, polyester, rayon, metallic, wool, and specialty blends.
