Stunning colors, lovely substantial...
The interplay of colors in this plaid is really exquisite. I purchased this hoping it would work for making casual garments, like summer dresses. The weight and drape of the fabric after prewashing are similar to a lightweight flannel, only without the nap. For me, I think this will not be light and crisp enough for the use I originally planned, but I think it will be very cute as an informal overshirt or even a soft bomber-style zip-up jacket for wearing in the cooler parts of spring or autumn. It would also obviously be soft and cozy if used in a quilt. I haven't seen it yet, but even just in handling it during washing and ironing, to me it feels more stable and tightly woven than some other brands of yarn-dyed quilting cottons, and I anticipate that it will be easy to work with.
