About the Canada Post national strike and how it affects our shop
As of November 15, 2024, Canada Post has officially announced a national strike that will cause service delays for Canadians. As a result, at Elegante Virgule we cannot offer the Lettermail option for the duration of the strike. Thus the Lettermail option is temporarily unavailable.Also we will not be able to ship any order for PO Boxes and / or remote sites until the strike is over.
For the main Canadian cities, since we already use other courrier services, we will continue to ship your orders, although the dispatch may experience some delays due to the higher volumes our partners will have to handle.
Finally for our Customers in the USA, they will not be affected since we also partner with companies (other than Canada Post) that work with USPS and local courriers.

Our office is based in Sainte-Thérèse (near Montreal) in Quebec, Canada. We can ship to virtually any address in the world. The Customer is responsible for the accuracy of the address provided at checkout. Please note: The below charges only include delivery; therefore All customers will be responsible for import duties and local taxes if applicable.
We offer Flat rates for Regular standard mail (untracked, uninsured). Expedited and tracked options are also available, that you can select at Checkout.
For Canada regions, we collect the appropriate GST, HST and PST taxes of the ship-to address, calculated on the order total (including shipping charges).

* Please note that the Regular Standard mail option (Flat rates) is untracked and uninsured. We will not be able to provide any tracking info. If that is what you prefer, please upgrade your shipping to the appropriate service you require. The main reason is to maintain our shipping fees at minimum and that only the Customers who want those options would pay for them.
** Free Standard Shipping rule: All orders over CAD$ 150 for Canada and USA are shipped for free (No code needed) with a Regular Standard Service. Please upgrade at checkout if you need Expedited or Express services or if you require an Insurance protection.

Returns Policy
All fabric sales are final.
You may return all other product categories (other than fabric). They must be in the original package, for unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a refund at original price paid minus 25% in fees (for administrative and inventory management), unless the return reason is related to our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). We will also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error as well. If not, the return shipping will be at your cost.

100% ECO-FRIENDLY PACKAGING
For our packaging, we use exclusively 100% recyclable, 100% compostable or from 100% recycled material. Our motto regarding packaging is REDUCE. REUSE. RECYCLE.
To us, the right mindset in this matter covers all aspects of the process. Not only we try to purchase from mindful partners and manufacturers, making the best products with the most natural fibers, trying to choose labels like Oeko-tex® certification or GOTS (Organic certification), and eventually the packaging we are using to ship it to the final customer.
We also have a monthly budget from our sales to invest in planting trees in collaboration with a Registered and dedicated organization called TreeEra.
We believe we are part of a whole process and each of us can make a difference.
